
Saltaire Striders Esholt Relay Race
A successful evening for Baildon who competed in the annual Esholt Relays which was hosted by Saltaire Striders. The relays were 1.5 miles each and were run through the woods of Esholt. A Baildon team came in first place running the race in 35:21. As well as finishing in first position, "Mal's Support Team", also ran the fastest male leg being run in 8:10 by Michael Malyon. Baildon Runners Handicap Club Night
Thursday 13th July saw another successful Baildon Runners handicap race organised by Denise Johnson. 58 runners competed in a race in which Jason Coulson won in an elapsed time of 53.24 and an actual time of 36.24. A new course record was set by Michael Malyon who ran the race in just 30.05. The night was superbly organised and enjoyed by all. Baildon Canter and Fun Run 2017
The sun was shining and the sky was blue for this years Baildon Canter and Fun Run. A record number of runners competed in the Canter (78 in total), including 15 Baildon Runners. The event was a huge success and ran smoothly thanks to the hard work of Sue Coates and volunteers at the club. Danefield Relay 2017
Baildon runners entered 5 teams ( Baildon A,B,C, D and Baildon Ladies) into the Danefield relay on Tuesday evening. The race is run on the eastern side of the Chevin country park and consists of 3 x 5km legs of the same lap. The lap basically consists of 2 miles of flat/ downhill running before a ‘killer climb’ of about 500ft, all in the final mile. Tommy's Midnight Runners crowned champions at Endure 24
Congratulations to 'Tommys midnight runners' who were crowned champions at Mizuno Endure 24 which took place on the 1st and 2nd July. The team was formed to raise money for Tommy's, the baby charity, a charity which raises funds to conduct medical research into the cause of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, and provides an information service about health in pregnancy. The event took part at Bramham Park near Leeds and the team, which included six Baildon Runners,
