
WYWL Race 1 : Dewsbury. 2nd Overall
Fabulous effort today from both the menโs and ladies teams at the first West Yorkshire Winter League race in Dewsbury. Congrats to Mal who described his condition as 'a bit rough' and Jennie Guard for their respective 1st places finishes. Overall the men finished 2nd and the ladies 3rd with a combined 2nd place. A strong start to the new season. We are hoping for even more of our strong runners to compete at the next race on 10th December to help catch the Stainland Lions!

Tour of Pendle 2017
At 9am the rain was pouring, an hour and a half later when the race began the sun was shining. This was an improvement on last year's weather, when the snow was falling and visibility was low. Despite the better weather, the challenge was just as tough; over 16 miles with almost 5000ft of climbing. An epic fell race in its 34th year. Harriers v Cyclists 2017
Over 15 Baildon Runners took part in the annual โHarriers v Cyclistsโ Challenge run. With over 600 ft of climbing,over a 8km course it was a great effort by all our runners. Congratulations to all of the Baildon Runners who raced including Mal Malyon for his top 5 finish - a great achievement in a competitive field. Good conditions on a tough run up Hope Hill.

Jane pushes boundaries in the Bradford Half Marathon 2017
Well done to all of the Baildon runners who competed in the Bradford city races. Based upon a 5K loop of Bradford city centre, the course takes in City Park, Bradford University, the Broadway and Little Germany. One lap gets you 5K, two gets you 10K and 4 (and an extra bit) gets you a half marathon. I was pleased to achieved my first sub 1 hour 30 min half marathon with the help of Lee who was my pacer for most of the race... before beating me.Nigel Shaw also managed a new PB
